The Giant Leaf
The first of series of animated films to be produced by Kendu Films, whose team have worked on some of the most beloved animated feature films of all time.
The Giant Leaf is the story of Noah's Ark, from the point of view of the animals.
Synopsis: A young fox named Kendu dreams each night of a giant leaf. While he's dreaming, Kendu feels something that is sorley lacking from his life; freedom. When an opporunity for escape from his oppresors presents itself, Kendu summons up all his courage and ventures out into the blackness of the Wilds, despite warnings that a fearsome beast known as the Animal Eater resides there. With his two newfound friends - a rambunctious monkey named Yitzhak, and Odella, a plucky koala, Kendu is determined to find the giant leaf from his dream, and with it, a life of promise and hope.
The Giant Leaf is now in pcture book format, movie screenplay and novel. We have $17m already promised to bring theis series to life and are looking for the second half. As the creator of the Invisible Tails Series of children’s books, artist Davy Liu also worked on such animated classic films as The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Mulan, as well as StarWars episode one. He realized that the power of storytelling, through animated films, can shape and impact a generation of kids, for decades to come. For Davy, developing content for children also holds a great sense of responsibility to build a child's moral foundation. Today’s children are faced with a lack of self-identity as well as ethical decay. Davy felt compelled to create empowering messages for children, to prepare them for the challenges they will face in their future. Kendu Films desires to bring encouragement, beyond compelling entertainment, and to inspire children to have faith to pursue their purpose in life.
